Is Therapy Right for Me?

You don’t have to be in crisis to start therapy.

Many people begin counselling because they feel anxious, low, or stuck, or simply because life feels heavier than it used to. You might notice the same patterns repeating in relationships, struggle to switch off, or feel unsure who you are anymore.

Therapy offers a calm, confidential space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening. It’s not about fixing you, it’s about understanding yourself and creating room for change. Together, we explore what’s behind how you’re feeling and find steadier ways to cope and connect.

People often come to talking therapy for:

  • Anxiety, overthinking, or burnout

  • Low mood, emptiness, or loss of motivation

  • Relationship or family difficulties

  • Grief, loss, or big life transitions

  • Low self-esteem or people-pleasing

  • Feeling “not enough,” “too much,” or disconnected from yourself

You might not have a clear reason, just a sense that something’s off, or that you’ve been coping for a long time but it’s getting harder to keep going. That’s often when therapy helps most: when you’re ready to stop struggling alone and want space to explore what’s really going on.

Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after some time, we’ll work at your pace, gently, collaboratively, and with curiosity about what might help you feel more like yourself again.

I offer a free 20 minute consultation for you to find out more, and share a bit with me about why you're coming to therapy. Get in touch now, I aim to book in consultations within 7-14 days.
